July 4th, 2019 was a beautiful day to go out and explore the beach in Muskegon, Michigan. The soft, fine, sugar sand of Michigan makes it very difficult for anyone with mobility issues to access the beach. The sugar sand also provides challenges to other mobility devices designed for beach use. The most common device for accessing the beach is the beach chair with large tires. They do provide access, however you need a strong, willing person to push you. With Freedom Trax, you can go almost anywhere you want on the beach without the need for outside assistance.
I had a great day cruising around the beach. I receive a lot of thumbs up from people impressed with my Freedom Trax. I also heard a lot of “that’s so cool”. Often times people in wheelchairs are invisible people. With Freedom Trax on the beach, you are definitely not invisible. I met and talked with a lot of new people in my journeys that day. The only thing that would make it more fun, would be to have a friend with me that has a Freedom Trax, so we could ride the beaches together.
I’m looking forward to January, when we go on our Freedom Trax Fiesta in Cozumel, Mexico. It’s going to be fun to have a Freedom Trax gang cruising the island paradise together. Contact me at chris@free2trax.com if you would like to join us in Cozumel. It will be a great break from winter. Don’t have a Freedom Trax yet? We will have a few for rent. Get your name in early to rent a Freedom Trax for Cozumel.
